Cessna 182 Skylane cessna_182_s.jpg

After almost 5 years of use, My Cessna 182 (Kyosho) needed a complete renovation.

Kyosho stopped the production of this nice model years ago. As I really liked this model that flies wonderfully, I had no other option than to keep this one in good shape.
The plane was entirely taken down, cleaned, engine replaced, new parts made where needed, repainted, radio checked then reassembled.
I completely removed the original covering film and use light glass cloth to cover the plane instead. 2 components car paint was applied to the model.
This has the advantage to make a beautiful, very durable finish, totally oil resistant.
Well, what a tough job. Much longer than go to the model shop and buy another RTF box. But the result was well worth the effort.
